Inspired by history and nature
My sensibility is grounded in seminal childhood memories of my grandmother Helen - dappled sun streaming through windows, rooms arranged with old mysterious things, a counter piled with warm cinnamon donuts, baskets filled with flowers brought in from the garden. It’s an aesthetic that draws upon the wonderment of childhood, collecting, artisanship, and the enveloping warmth of a well-made home.
I started making spaces when I was quite young, daydreaming about renovations, then convincing my parents to let me redesign this and then that corner of our home. Corners led to rooms which led to a progression of my own homes, then eventually the homes of others. I draw on years working for architects, extensive study of color theory, a masters degree in fine art, decades of hands-on renovation experience, and an ongoing career in styling and photography. My approach is evocative, personal, and sustainably minded - always with the goal of imbuing a place with the rich, layered qualities of comfort, abundance, beauty and longevity.

you and your children:
stay together
learn the flowers
go light” -Gary Snyder
